I don’t know about you, but I love a bright tea towel and think it’s a great budget way to add colour to the kitchen. I’m a sucker for buying them, even though I really don’t need any more! However, as they’re such an affordable way to perk up the kitchen, I’m sure I’ll keep on collecting them. And on that note, here’s ten tea towels that will cheer any kitchen space up in no time.

How colourful is this KitchenCraft beauty? If you like bright and bold, this one’s for you! And if you like the look of this, there are more designs in this range, all equally charming.

This little fella is a Tayra, and believe it or not, is a relative of the badger and weasel. Anyway, if you’re looking for something a little bit different, this one will be a talking point in your kitchen.

Grrr, this tea towel is another bright, bold accessory, perfect for all you maximalists out there. This one will certainly perk up any kitchen.

I really like the colour and design of this zebra tea towel. It feels like a bit of a tea towel safari with all these animals, doesn’t it?

Another cheery choice here, with this French Tea Towel. This will look great if, like me, you have red appliances in your kitchen that you want to coordinate your trinkets with.

This tea towel’s a bit of a quirky one, and as a non-anorak wearing bird-watcher, I like the design of this. It’d make a great gift for any nature-loving friend. Check out Twenty Birds for more quirky bird gift ideas.

We’ve all been a bit hangry in the past, haven’t we? This is another fun design, which satisfies my love of orange-themed stuff.

And speaking of orange-tinged tea towels, this one has a nice retro feel to it. And if you’ve seen my rather retro kitchen with its orange highlights, you’ll understand why I’ve included this one. It has been designed by Alison Greyer from Prints & Press, which is a funky design studio based in Manchester.

And now for something completely different! This one made me laugh, and who knew there were so many different types of hoe? There are more of these cheeky tea towels available from the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s shop.

And finally, a tea towel that I’ve seen around for a little while, but I absolutely love. It’s bold and it’s Bowie, what’s not too love?
